His Beatitude Leo
The Autonomous Archbishopric of Finland was
established by patriarchal and synodic decision
in 1923. The decision united all orthodox
establishments in Finland under the name
Orthodox Archbishopric of Finland. Synodic act
from 1st February promoted two
bishoprics in Finland to metropolises. Present
Head of the Church is Archbishop Leon of
Helsinki and all Finland. The Church consists of
two metropolitans, one bishop, sixty six parish
churches and two monasteries.
